Terms of Service for Lease-E
Lease-E Ab, Köpmansgatan 1, 22100 Mariehamn, FO-number 3199992-9, operates a rental service where businesses and consumers can rent equipment for shared use by ordering equipment online and picking it up from one of our partners. We also offer membership benefits for those who need equipment more frequently.

1. General
These terms apply to the rental and sale of goods and services from to businesses and consumers. Together with your order, these terms constitute a complete agreement regarding the purchase.

2. Definition of Parties
The lessor or seller is: EasyRent AS, and will hereinafter be referred to as we, us, the lessor, or EasyRent.

The lessee is: the person specified as the lessee or buyer in the order, and will hereinafter be referred to as the lessee, the customer, you, or your.

Rental objects include tools, equipment, machines, and anything else rented out on

Delivery method/service points refer to pickup or return at a store, kiosk, or home delivery.

3. Payment, Deposit, and Prices
Payment is made via Visa or Mastercard online through our payment intermediary DIBS, which meets the highest security requirements. The lessee pays when ordering, at which point the rental agreement is considered concluded.

EasyRent follows standard rental practices and also reserves a deposit amount as stated on the order confirmation upon booking. The reservation ensures if the customer returns the tool late, damages it, or does not return it at all. The deposit amount varies with the chosen equipment and is specified in your order confirmation. EasyRent has the right to use the deposit to cover rent and other costs mentioned above and/or any regress claims, cf. point 5 below. The deposit will be payed back within 2-5 days after the rentperiod is over. 

All prices include VAT. The total cost of the purchase will be shown before ordering and include all expenses associated with the rental or purchase. If there has been a significant error in the prices on EasyRent’s website, EasyRent may unilaterally change, delete, or reject orders even after the customer has received an order confirmation or similar. Such errors must be corrected and the customer informed within a reasonable time after the error is discovered.

4. Condition of Rental Objects
EasyRent undertakes to deliver rental objects of high quality in operational condition. EasyRent has procedures to check and maintain rental objects before and after rental.

During the rental period, you are responsible for all damages or loss of the equipment. Exemption from liability can occur if the damage or loss is due to technical errors or deficiencies. The lessee is therefore obliged to inspect the rental object before use and contact EasyRent if the rental object is not in the expected condition.

5. Damages
All damages, technical faults, or accidents that occur during the rental period must be reported to EasyRent immediately. We will do our best to assist the lessee. Damages are reported to immediately. This also applies in the case of theft.

If the damages are due to misuse, intent, or negligence, EasyRent may use the reserved deposit and, if necessary, charge additional amounts to cover the costs associated with repair, service, or replacement of the tool. This also applies if the equipment is returned neglected or dirty beyond normal use.

We always strive to provide the best advice and tips for using the rental object but are not responsible for execution or for direct or indirect damages or losses resulting from the use of the rental object, delays, or faults in the rental object.

6. Use of the Rental Object
The use of rental objects is at your own risk. The person using the equipment must be over 18 years old.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the equipment and accessories are used in a way that does not damage or excessively dirty them. Proper and safe use of the equipment is the lessee’s responsibility. The lessor provides instructions, manuals, and safety procedures with the tools and/or on the lessor's website. It is the customer's responsibility to familiarize themselves with the lessor's usage and safety procedures before using the equipment.

We recommend the use of protective equipment. You must also follow the equipment's instructions and other directives from EasyRent.

7. Accessories
Accessories must generally be purchased or rented separately when ordering the tool and selected according to the task the customer wishes to perform on the website. The website also describes what is included in the delivery of the rental object. Additionally, safety equipment is required in many situations and is offered on the website. Personal accessories (dust masks, etc.) or consumables (saw blades, etc.) are not rented out. For accessories that are sold and not used, the right of withdrawal applies according to point 12.

8. Customers Rights and Obligations
The customer must be at least 18 years old and must provide correct customer details when creating a user account to order and rent on EasyRent sends messages to the specified email, address, and phone number, and such messages are considered received and valid upon dispatch from us.

The user account is personal, and if you suspect that others have access to your account, you must notify EasyRent immediately. EasyRent has the right to freely reject, terminate, or suspend a user account without notice or liability, including if the terms are deemed violated.

These rental terms must be accepted before ordering on the website.

The customer must return the rental object before the agreed date and time and in the agreed delivery form. The customer is expected to stay informed about the service point's normal opening hours.

The customer or cardholder authorizes EasyRent to create credit card instructions, including for rental objects not returned, are dirty beyond normal, or damaged. The given authorization also includes the right to charge the payment card for additional rental/compensation claims if the rental object is returned after the agreed rental period or returned with errors or deficiencies.

Delays in returning the tool beyond one hour after the agreed rental period entitle the lessor to one day's extra rent plus an additional fee, currently NOK 300, to cover EasyRent’s extra expenses for late return. If the rental object is not returned after one day, EasyRent is entitled to the agreed daily rate as long as the tool is actually used and not returned by the lessee.

9. Order Changes
To change an order, EasyRent must be contacted. Changes will not be valid until confirmed in writing by us to ensure the rental objects are available. Unless otherwise agreed and confirmed, the rental object must be returned at the agreed time. The rental period can be extended before the rental period starts and/or during the rental period by changing the rental start or end.

Changes and cancellations of rental objects that affect the availability of the rental objects for other users may incur a change fee to cover rebooking costs. The change fee is currently NOK 300. All costs will be disclosed to the lessee before the order is concluded or changed.

10. Delivery and Return
Delivery and return take place in the manner, at the place, and at the time specified in the order confirmation. You can also find it under your page. We are responsible for the products until they are taken over by you, meaning when you have received the products in your possession. To receive the rental object, you must have your booking reference. The name you provide in the reservation must match the name on the ID card upon pickup.

If the delivery of rental objects is delayed, we will inform you as soon as we are aware, along with information about when delivery can take place, or if the product(s) are sold out or the rental object(s) are unavailable.

You are responsible for the product until it is returned to us or our service points.

We check the rental object's condition and functionality and that all parts are present when they come into our warehouse. Upon complete delivery in contractual condition, the reservation for the deposit on the payment card will be canceled.

12. Right of Withdrawal on Purchase
The right of withdrawal gives you the right to cancel your purchases. The right of withdrawal applies to purchased goods and not to rental objects. The right of withdrawal requires that you notify us within 14 days of receiving the delivery (see the Right of Withdrawal Act

To use the right of withdrawal, the product must be delivered to us in approximately the same quantity and condition as you received it. If you try, use, or examine the item (open packaging, etc.) in a way that goes beyond what is necessary to determine the item's nature, properties, and function, and this results in the item decreasing in value, we may deduct an amount equivalent to the reduction in value from the purchase price to be refunded. For example, if you try a dust mask, saw with a saw blade, or drill a hole with a bit, the right of withdrawal does not apply.

The product must be returned to us in its original packaging and within a reasonable time, along with the withdrawal form. The easiest way is to return the item in the same box when you return the rental object. Then there are no costs for you. Fill out the withdrawal form and put it in the box. If you choose to send it back by mail or other methods, it is your responsibility until the item arrives with us. You must provide your own suitable packaging and

contact us before sending.
